LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE - SCHOOLPSYCHOLOGIST (5/4/26 - 11/27/26)
Folsom School District is seeking a Long Term Substitute - School Psychologist (this position is a shared service position with Port Republic).

- Standard Certificate:
School Psychologist - Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- Conducts diagnostic evaluations and assesses the cognitive functioning, adaptive functioning and the social and emotional status of students referred to the Child Study Team, using appropriate assessment methods and in accordance with state law.
- Prepares reports of evaluation results, interprets the implications of significant findings, and participates in the development of Individualized Educational Programs and in educational planning.
- Serves as case manager to those students who are assigned. Duties include gathering information for the IEP Annual Review and conducting the review, monitoring the progress of students, and facilitating changes in the program where indicated after appropriate team discussions.
- Maintains appropriate data on students to document current levels of performance and other pertinent information. Reevaluates to determine extent of progress and effectiveness of programs such as Response to Intervention.
- Evaluates out-of-district instructional programs to determine the appropriateness of placement, as assigned.
- Provides consultation to administrators, teachers and parents regarding academic concerns, social/emotional concerns, and the progress of students.
- Performs duties as part of a team effort, such as assisting with teacher in-service, Kindergarten Roundup, etc.
- Participates in workshops that promote professional development.
- Maintains and disseminates current information regarding instructional methods, materials and programs and the implication of research findings for educational practice.
- Provides counseling or other appropriate interventions for individual students or groups of students per students’ IEP’s and as assigned by the Superintendent.
- Deals with information received with tact and with respect to confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
- Member of IRS committee as needed based on referral.
- Evaluate and promote positive school climate through various activities throughout the school year.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Special Services and/or the Superintendent.
