The Research Program in Development Economics (RPDE) at Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs invites applications for two Postdoctoral Research Associate positions. The role is a 12‑month term appointment commencing in summer 2026. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will pursue independent research while actively participating in RPDE events—including weekly seminars and graduate student lunches—and engaging with the undergraduate community. The position does not involve any teaching responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Conduct independent research in development economics.
- Attend and contribute to RPDE weekly seminars and events.
- Engage with undergraduate students and the broader academic community.
- Collaborate with fellow RPDE researchers on research projects.
- Ph.D. in economics, development economics, or a related field, expected to be completed between September 1 , 2024 and August 31 , 2026.
- Demonstrated scholarly productivity and potential for independent research.
- Subject to the University’s background‑check policy.

Expected salary range: $125,000. The University offers a comprehensive benefits program to eligible employees, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave.
