Postdoctoral and Senior Research Positions in Computer Science
The Computer Science Department invites applications for postdoctoral and more senior research positions in two areas of computer science:
Quantum computing and quantum architecture and systems, and reinforcement learning algorithms, including exploration, empowerment, and multi‑agent coordination. Candidates should have evidence of experience in scholarly research and a strong commitment to excellence in education.
Postdoctoral appointments are one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding. Senior appointments may be multi‑year. PhD required. The position is expected to start in January 2027.
Responsibilities and ExpectationsApplicants will conduct cutting‑edge research, collaborate with faculty and students, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and contribute to the department’s teaching mission.
Qualifications- PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Strong record of scholarship in quantum computing, reinforcement learning, or related areas
- Commitment to teaching and educational excellence
- Ability to secure external funding is a plus
Work is in‑person on campus at Princeton University.
CompensationSalary range:
Postdoc Research Associate $78,000‑$90,000;
Associate Research Scholar $90,000‑$110,000. The University offers a comprehensive benefits program to eligible employees.
