Postdoctoral Research Associate - Program in Latin American Studies
Location: Princeton, New Jersey
Salary Range: $65,000 a year for postdoctoral research associate rank; $72,000 - $75,000 per year for Associate Research Scholar rank
OverviewThe Program in Latin American Studies (PLAS) is seeking candidates from any discipline who are engaged in scholarly research on topics related to Latin American Studies, including the Caribbean and Brazil, to fill Postdoctoral Research Associate or more senior research positions. Scholars working on policy and public health, the history of disease, international relations, or economic development in the region are particularly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Devote to research and writing
- Teach no more than one undergraduate course per semester, if approved, carrying part-time rank of Lecturer
- Participate regularly in the scholarly and academic activities of the program
- Maintain in-person presence on campus
Term: 12‑month for postdoctoral rank during academic year, renewable; senior ranks may have multi‑year appointments.
Start date:
around September 1 2027.

QualificationsDoctoral degree. Academic excellence and potential to bring new ideas. Ability to interact successfully with faculty and students.
