Princeton, NJ Salary Range or Pay Grade: $83,100 - $87,500

The Department of Comparative Literature at Princeton University has an occasional curricular need for lecturers to teach, co-teach, or lead discussion sections in any comparative literature area, including any period (e.g., medieval, early modern), any language (e.g., Asian, European, African languages), and any texts (e.g., novels, film, popular culture). The department accepts applications in advance in the event the occasion arises where such lecturers are needed.

Those who compare texts across two or more languages would be prioritized. Any appointments and duty time are subject to enrollments, and would have an expected start date of September 1, 2026, or January 16, 2027.

Please provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching interest, and the names and contact information for three references. Applications will be reviewed based on curricular need. The department may or may not review all applications it receives, and only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. No letters of recommendation are required at this time.
