Associate Professor of Youth and Young Adult Ministries

Princeton Theological Seminary invites applications for a faculty position in Youth and Young Adult Ministries at the rank of Associate Professor (with tenure). The successful candidate will display a vital theological, ecclesiastical, and intercultural understanding of youth and young adult ministries. The MDiv and PhD degrees or their equivalents are required. The successful candidate will share responsibility for all the Seminary’s degree programs, offering a broad range of required, introductory, and advanced courses that support the Seminary’s mission and take into account both the Practical Theology Department’s needs and their own research interests.

Applicants are expected to have a portfolio of publications and teaching experience in the field of Christian education and formation with specialization in the area of youth and young adults.

The successful candidate will also have research interests in one or more of the following areas:

• Pedagogical theory and practice
• Children and family
• Spiritual, social, and political determinants of development

• Pursuing an active scholarly research agenda
• Supervising PhD students
• Mentoring students in all degree programs
• Service on faculty committees
• Regular participation in the communal life of the Seminary

Expected to be comfortable working constructively within an ecumenical ethos informed by the Reformed Tradition.

Salary range: $96,.
