As a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, you will work closely with principal technical professionals and project managers to engage in and deliver the entire lifecycle of our clients’ needs. Responsibilities include asset management and planning, assistance with project funding applications, preliminary and final designs, procurement and bid phase assistance, and construction phase services. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and a passion for water/wastewater treatment and facilities.
Experience with municipal water and wastewater unit process treatment, pipeline and treatment plant hydraulics, and process mechanical layouts is essential.
Location:
Hybrid schedule available at Princeton or Hamilton, NJ; or Philadelphia (Exton), PA.
- Provide and apply technical knowledge in Planning (treatment studies, process/hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, permitting and site planning).
- Provide and apply technical knowledge in Design (process design, process/mechanical design, equipment selection, sizing, layout of equipment, chemical feed systems).
- Provide and apply technical knowledge in Construction (bidding assistance, construction administration around submittal reviews, responses to RFI’s, and engineering site inspections).
- Assist in Funding & Permits (preparing applications, responding to review comments, performing closeout assignments).
- Perform condition assessments and basis of design studies.
- B.S. in chemical, civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering.
- Engineer‑In‑Training/FE.
- 6–10 years of civil engineering design experience, focused on water/wastewater treatment facilities or related experience.
- Experience writing basis of design reports, preparing process mechanical drawings, estimating construction costs, and drafting technical specifications.
- Strong AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) skills.
- Motivation to obtain a Professional Engineering license within one year.
- Excellent organizational, communication, computer, and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency with Sewer
GEMS/Water
GEMS or process treatment modeling (Biowin) preferred. - Membership in AWWA, ASCE, or Water Environment Federation, or willingness to join, preferred.
