SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Sr Engineer II) is a key practitioner within Integra’s Global Supply Chain & Operations organization, responsible for leading high-impact continuous improvement projects that enhance quality, service, cost, throughput, and operational stability across the enterprise. Reporting to the Director, Operational Excellence, this role executes the Lean Six Sigma strategy, applies advanced problem‑solving methodologies, and partners directly with site leaders, supply chain, quality, and cross‑functional teams to drive measurable operational results.

The Black Belt also contributes to capability building by coaching Green Belts, supporting continuous improvement training, and modeling the behaviors required to sustain a culture of operational excellence in a regulated life‑sciences environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Leadership & Execution:
    Lead medium to large scope Lean Six Sigma projects across manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and supporting functions; conduct root‑cause analyses using DMAIC, statistical tools, process mapping, and structured problem‑solving frameworks; scope opportunities, define project charters, quantify benefits, and manage execution through tollgate reviews.
  • Lean Deployment, Daily Management & CI Methodologies:
    Support deployment of Lean initiatives; facilitate Kaizen events and improvement workshops; implement and mature Daily Management elements (visual controls, performance boards, problem escalation pathways); coach Tier1‑2 leaders on huddle effectiveness and KPI ownership.
  • Coaching & Capability Building:
    Mentor Green Belts and project teams on tools and basic statistical methods; support delivery of Lean Six Sigma training modules; model continuous improvement behaviors and encourage engagement.
  • Operational Integration & Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing; ensure project changes meet regulatory and quality requirements; partner with Finance for benefits tracking and validation.
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting:
    Develop project metrics, dashboards, and control plans; report progress, risks, and outcomes to project sponsors and Lean Six Sigma leadership; contribute observations to site maturity assessments.
REQUIRED SKILLS & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical field.
  • Experience:

    6–10 years of relevant experience in operations, supply chain, engineering, or quality.
  • LSS Project Leadership: 1–3 years leading Lean Six Sigma projects with validated results.
  • Experience supporting Lean Six Sigma programs, Daily Management deployment, or problem‑solving frameworks.
  • Skills &

    Competencies:

    strong analytical skills; foundational statistical capability with developing mastery of advanced methods; effective communication and facilitation within teams and value streams; ability to influence without authority in a matrix environment; solid project management discipline.
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT

This role requires regular use of tools and equipment relevant to the work environment. Examples include general office equipment, computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, and telephone communication systems. Additional tools may vary depending on the specific function (e.g., manufacturing, field service, or laboratory work) and will be defined in role‑specific documentation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Personnel are expected to sit, listen, speak, move through various areas of the building, travel across all company locations as needed, periodically lift and/or move items up to twenty‑five pounds, and travel domestically and internationally by car, train, or airplane.

ADVERSE WORKING CONDITIONS

These include handling hazardous and biohazardous materials such as flammable and corrosive liquids, compressed gases, sharps, and medical waste. Appropriate safety protocols and personal protective equipment are required and provided.

SALARY

Pay range: $94,300.00–$€ USD.
