• Assist with the preparation and modification of engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on planning and design of projects.
• Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other job duties as requested.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification; PE certification preferred.
• 3+ years of prior relevant professional experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, storm water management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. The estimated range for this role is: $72,000 - $104,000. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Some roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm’s annual bonus and performance review program.

Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual performance and firm profitability. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation, 10 days of paid sick time, and 10 paid holidays per year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked and related experience.
