Your key responsibilities may include:
- Perform field work, including coordinating and overseeing drilling, soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air sampling, surveying, and laboratory services. Additional responsibilities may include hydraulic testing such as slug tests and pumping tests, soil boring and monitoring well installation, and soil logging.
- Provide oversight of the implementation and field management (including operation, maintenance, and monitoring) of various environmental remediation systems, including soil vapor extraction (SVE), enhanced in‑situ bioremediation (eISB), in‑situ chemical oxidation (ISCO), permeable reactive barriers (PRB), and groundwater extraction and treatment systems.
- Assist with the development of comprehensive site investigation work plans by participating in scope of work development, cost estimation, budgeting, and data analysis to characterize contaminants in sediment, soil, soil vapor, air, surface water, and groundwater.
- Assist with the development of Conceptual Site Models and ecological assessments.
- Assist with the preparation and editing of technical and regulatory reports.
- Collect, compile, and evaluate environmental sample data to characterize chemicals in environmental media.
- Provide technical assistance and apply engineering principles on investigation and remediation projects.
- Assist in the preparation of preliminary assessment reports, site and remedial investigation reports, feasibility studies, and other technical reports.
- Follow corporate health and safety standards.
Your starting point for constant growth
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Groundwater flow and/or contaminant transport modeling, GIS mapping, and/or field coursework (as applicable) are a plus.
- Experience with environmental regulatory programs, database management, risk assessment, and environmental sampling is a plus.
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER training is a plus.
- Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time and possess a valid driver’s license.
- The physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 pounds. The role may involve exposure to extreme weather, elevated noise levels, and site hazards such as proximity to moving machinery and vehicles, electrical currents, and potential chemical exposure.
