About the Role
We are looking for an Optomechanical Engineer to design and build the literal backbone of our quantum processors, translating lab prototypes into manufacturable hardware that can grow to first-of-a-kind, full-scale quantum datacenters.
You will design and prototype custom precision optomechanics, modular optical breadboards, and the large-scale mechanical infrastructure that integrates every component of the processor. You will work with quantum computing researchers and optical engineers to identify components with their design criteria and timelines, then complete the design, prototyping, construction, and validation.
Requirements include familiarity with CAD, FEA, 2D mechanical drawings and tolerancing, and DFM. Basic familiarity with optics and experience with hands-on construction and alignment are expected. No knowledge of quantum physics is required, though we're happy to teach you.
Compensation consists of a base salary and equity. The salary range for this role is $125-200k, commensurate with experience. We also provide comprehensive benefits, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for our employees and highly subsidized benefits for spouses and dependents, a 401k and FSA.
