• Analyze and identify drivers of quarterly results including actual vs. expected results and financial results.
• Quality assure pricing and financial data working with underwriting, claims and accounting to correct data issues.
• Uses SAP, Excel, Power BI and R to analyze quarterly results and create exhibits to support profitability analyses.
• Lead profitability analyses including identifying key risk drivers and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with data engineers to quality assure data used in Power BI dashboards and to develop and enhance dashboards, including providing expertise and guidance to data engineers on (re) insurance/actuarial topics.
• Perform ad‑hoc actuarial analyses as needed, primarily on topics related to portfolio profitability.

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field plus 4 years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience as an Actuarial Analyst or closely related position in the property & casualty (re) insurance industry.
• Requires ACAS designation.
• Prior work experience must include coding in R language for data analysis, visualization and automation; designing, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI dashboards to analyze data and create reports for profitability analyses; performing data modeling and data analyses, including calculating IBNR (incurred but not reported), using actuarial knowledge/methods; complex problem solving such as identifying root causes and recommending solutions regarding data and actuarial topics;
  
  and communicating technical topics to non‑technical audiences.
• May telecommute but must have ability to report to Princeton, NJ office a minimum of 3 times per week.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $158,205 to $158,205 per year plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
