Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our Strategic Finance and Regional Steering team within the Life & Health division aims to be a strategic partner to the business units by providing insights and analytics that empower regional management to make informed decisions and drive strategic initiatives. The team coordinates regional financial steering and translates management reporting into actionable insights.

We are recruiting a senior finance professional to lead the regional finance project management hub, supporting portfolio insights for Life & Health decision‑making. The role coordinates finance‑led initiatives, supports business case development and benefit tracking, and strengthens the enabling infrastructure used in management reporting and strategic discussions. The role also provides targeted performance insights on the Life & Health in‑force portfolio, linking results to key drivers and translating insights into clear messages and actions.

The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated actuary with excellent communication skills, thriving in a collaborative environment, driven by curiosity and adaptability. Creativity in problem‑solving and a passion for leveraging financial insights to drive strategic growth and innovation are essential.

Regional finance project management hub
  • Lead and coordinate Life & Health finance‑led projects across systems and processes, including cross‑hub stakeholder coordination and project governance.
  • Support business case development for business and IT initiatives, including transparent tracking of spend and benefit realisation against business case assumptions.
  • Implement a structured intake and prioritisation approach to maintain a pipeline of regional finance initiatives and focus capacity on the highest‑value work.
In‑force management & performance steering
  • Provide targeted in‑force portfolio insights by linking results to underlying performance drivers, assessing experience against expectations, and highlighting divergence from assumptions to support steering and remediation priorities.
  • Shape investment and prioritisation discussions by translating financial trade‑offs, options and constraints into clear recommendations.
Business partnering & strategic influence
  • Act as an extension of regional finance leadership by providing decision support and scenario analysis, constructively challenging plans and forecasts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across local finance teams (valuation, accounting, finance business partners) and business teams (pricing, client management) to ensure early alignment and clear communication of financial insights.
  • Support coordination of consistent Life & Health finance deliverables across reporting metrics and cycles (IFRS 17/9, Solvency II/VBM, management reporting from early indication to final results), aligning inputs, timelines and communications.
  • Develop and improve enabling infrastructure (dashboards, management reports, steering packs) to support management reporting and strategic discussions.
  • Act as a role model and mentor, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the division and cross‑functional teams.
Your Profile
  • University degree with a strong quantitative focus or commercial training with a focus on accounting and insurance.
  • Actuarial qualification from an internationally recognised body.
  • Several years’ experience leading or delivering cross‑functional transformation or change initiatives, including project management, stakeholder alignment and coordination, and influencing senior audiences.
  • Strong finance and performance management background (FP&A, finance business partnering, or actuarial finance) with the ability to translate financial outcomes into clear business insights and actions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to explain complex issues in an understandable way.
  • Strong network‑building and interface management skills across functions and geographies.
  • Data‑driven, independent, inquisitive and collaborative with strong customer focus and a solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English.
