About this role YOUR TEAM Black Rock’s Outsourced Platform Services (OPS) provides global middle- and back-office support for Black Rock Solutions’ outsourcing business, delivering operational services across trade support, transaction servicing, collateral management, data governance, payments, corporate actions, reconciliations, alternative operations, and investment accounting. Within Global Client Alternative Services (GCAS) , a specialized team within OPS, professionals support alternative and private markets investment activity, help ensure the accuracy of cash and position data, and provide outsourcing solutions for clients investing in alternative asset classes.
The team partners globally to drive strategic initiatives, manage operational risk, and deliver high-quality service to clients while supporting the integrity of portfolio and transaction data. YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT As an Associate within GCAS, you will support complex private markets and alternative investment operations while contributing to the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of investment operations. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate transaction activity, resolve operational exceptions, and support scalable solutions that enhance client outcomes and risk management practices.

- Apply expertise in loans and private markets, including project finance, structured credit, real assets, and syndicated loans, to engage effectively with stakeholders, agents, borrowers, counter parties, and clients.
- Interpret and analyze complex legal documentation, translating key provisions into actionable operational insights.
- Facilitate settlement activity across a diverse range of instruments, including syndications, secondary trades, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), restructurings, private markets, infrastructure debt, renewable power, real estate debt, and trade claims.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and leverage loan systems expertise to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR) .
- Maintain deep knowledge of portfolios and transaction documentation while proactively investigating and resolving cash, position, and transaction exceptions to support risk management and operational integrity.
- Drive process automation, control enhancements, and operational improvement initiatives while managing multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
- 3–6 years of experience in loan operations or similar expertise in settlements, reconciliations, and documentation-driven transactions.
- Strong understanding of private credit, real assets, project finance, and alternative investment products.
- Exceptional communication and client service skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships across stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of banking and investment management, including experience in alternatives such as private credit, bank loans, credit strategies, registered funds, financial institutions, and a diverse range of investor types.
- Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure in high-volume, high-risk environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong capability to prioritize competing demands, exercise sound judgment, and make informed decisions while managing multiple requests and deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related applications; familiarity with loan-focused systems is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential.
For Princeton, NJ Only the salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00 - USD$ . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
