Full‑Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) - Needed in Somerset County

Join Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare as a Full‑Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide in‑home and center‑based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to make a meaningful impact while mentoring newly hired therapists and interns.

Pay range: $45.00/hr – $75.00/hr, depending on skills and experience.

• Provide individual in‑home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions.
• Conduct bio‑psycho‑social assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Teach coping, social, and anger management skills; reduce risk behaviors such as self‑injury or physical aggression.
• Support youth and caregivers in making effective decisions to manage behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with the Child & Family Treatment Team and other professionals supporting the youth and family.
• Mentor newly hired therapists and interns, providing guidance, feedback, and support in clinical practices.
• Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, etc.).
• Attend monthly meetings and complete mandatory clinical documentation.

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields.
• Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); out‑of‑state licenses considered if reciprocity applies.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑licensure clinical experience working with youth with mental health disorders.
• Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns.
• Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training.
• Willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training.
• Experience with treatment planning, progress notes, initial assessments, and goal setting.
• Proficiency in counseling approaches such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma‑Informed Care.
• Knowledge of DSM‑V for assessments and diagnosis.
• Experience providing positive behavior supports.
• Prior experience working with children ages 3‑20; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
• Must submit resume plus copies of master’s degree and NJ license or certification.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
• State reciprocity considered, but candidate must be within 25–30 minutes of service areas.
• Availability during after‑school hours (12 PM–8 PM); weekend flexibility is a plus.
