Banquet Captain

The Role

As a Banquet Captain, you supervise banquet servers and oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of events. You ensure that event details are executed correctly, guests receive excellent service, and the team works together efficiently.

• Lead banquet staff during setup, service, and breakdown of events
• Review event orders and ensure rooms are set to specifications
• Coordinate timing, service flow, and guest needs throughout events
• Communicate event details to servers and support teams
• Assist with serving food, beverages, and clearing tables as needed
• Ensure cleanliness, professionalism, and adherence to service standards
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Communicate event updates and needs to leadership and kitchen teams

• Previous banquet or hospitality leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Professional, organized, and service oriented
• Ability to multitask and stay calm during busy events
• Able to stand, walk, and lift during event operations
• Flexible to work any shifts including holidays and weekends

$15.92 per hour.

Hyatt Regency Princeton is a 330-room hotel located close to Route 1 and the Princeton Junction Train Station. The property features a glass-enclosed heated pool, a Stay Fit gym, and scenic running and biking paths, along with Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club, Laurea Restaurant and the Artisan Kitchen & Lounge. Its 32,000 square feet of meeting space includes high-tech meeting rooms with an on-site A/V team, ballrooms, exhibit space and a conference center used for corporate and hybrid meetings, weddings, and family gatherings.
