Payroll Specialist

Soni is partnering with a growing organization to hire a Payroll Contractor to support day-to-day payroll operations. This role helps process employee pay, update payroll records, respond to payroll questions, and ensure accurate, timely payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working in Excel, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Support bi-weekly payroll processing for U.S. employees
• Update employee payroll information (new hires, pay changes, terminations, leaves)
• Respond to payroll questions and employee inquiries
• Assist with manual payroll entries, adjustments, and corrections
• Process bonuses, reimbursements, tax updates, and deductions
• Run payroll reports and support basic payroll analysis
• Partner with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy
• Support audits, documentation, and compliance tasks
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate payroll records

• 2+ years of payroll or payroll-related experience
• Experience working with payroll systems or HR systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-moving environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll platforms
• Experience with multi-state payroll
• Exposure to payroll audits, reporting, or compliance
• Experience working in high-volume or growing organizations
• Experience supporting system transitions or process improvements

$22 - $26/ Hour
