Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Systems Operations engineer who will work collaboratively with application, infrastructure, security, and platform teams to support and improve the reliability, scalability, and operational health of our cloud environments.

This role focuses on day‑to‑day cloud operations, incident response, automation, and operational improvements across cloud and hybrid platforms. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience with cloud technologies, a solid understanding of operational best practices, and the ability to partner effectively across teams to solve complex technical problems.

This is a hands‑on, collaborative engineering role, not a people‑management position, with an emphasis on execution, reliability, and continuous improvement.

The Engineer II is a pivotal, developmental role on the engineering team where they are responsible for the successful delivery and outcomes of assigned projects and initiatives. The Engineer II will be responsible for translating requirements and project goals into an actionable plan and provide clear direction to more junior resources. They will further provide status updates to the Engineer III, seeking guidance and support where needed.

The role drives the design, implementation and support of components of enterprise technology solutions that power Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s global business operations. It focuses on creating secure, scalable, and high‑performing systems that accelerate innovation, operational excellence, and data‑driven decision‑making. As a key member of Otsuka’s IT organization, the engineer collaborates within its team and occasionally with other teams to deliver reliable, compliant, and future‑ready solutions.

Success in this role requires technical curiosity, analytical rigor, strong communication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. This position suits professionals passionate about bridging business needs and emerging technologies to deliver tangible enterprise value.

At Otsuka, we defy limitation, so that others can too.

We have an unwavering belief in doing more. In transcending expectations. In going above and beyond—under any circumstances—for patients, families, providers, and for each other. It’s this deep‑rooted dedication that drives us to uncover answers to complex, underserved medical needs, so that patients can push past the limitations of their disease and achieve more than they thought was possible each and every day.

We believe that the bigger the challenge, the bigger the opportunity. We are doing everything in our power to live up to our mission of creating new products for better health worldwide in two important therapeutic categories: neuroscience and nephrology.
