Piper Companies is seeking a Desktop Technician for a long-term contract opportunity to join an established Healthcare Organization in Princeton, NJ
. This position is 100% onsite and will require occasional local travel to multiple sites within the area.
- Assist in the replacement and configuration of PCs and network devices.
- Check and modify IP addresses on network equipment as needed.
- Execute basic network diagnostic commands on switches, such as the "show" command, to gather information.
- Perform network cable testing using Fluke testing tools to ensure connectivity and signal quality.
- Support the IT team in troubleshooting network issues related to hardware and configuration.
- Document and report findings from network tests and device configurations.
- Provide on-site support for network equipment and PC installations.
- Experience with Windows 10/11, Lenovo Hardware, general PC support
- Ability to check and modify IP addresses on network devices.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with Fluke testing tools for cable testing and network configuration.
- Familiarity with network hardware – routers and switches.
- Experience providing on-site support for PC/network issues.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
- Rate:$26-$28 per hour
