Job Summary

The Senior Manager - Product Lead is responsible for defining and executing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of digital products and platforms. This role partners closely with business, technology, design, data, and operations leaders to deliver high‑impact, customer‑centric solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Job Description

The Senior Manager role will drive the operational and program delivery support across technology initiatives and solutions within their platform area. The position will be responsible for overseeing and contributing to the technical execution of the roadmap as well as maintaining and enhancing the existing production solution in their platform domain.

Solution/Application Architecture
  • Own the technical solution design for assigned Workday functional and technical areas.
  • Lead architecture and design workshops and translate business requirements into scalable, automated Workday solutions.
  • Oversee and guide technical design patterns across Workday tools.
  • Define and maintain architecture decision records, promoting reusability, standardization, and long‑term scalability.
  • Provide oversight to the Workday Identity & Access Management (IAM) framework, ensuring secure and compliant role and domain structures.
  • Drive release impact analysis, identifying cross‑module, integration, and security implications for each Workday update.
  • Validate solutions through testing strategy contributions, including scenario design, regression coverage, and integration-specific validation.
  • Actively partner with HRIS, technical teams, and functional stakeholders to identify and deliver Workday‑based integration opportunities and automation improvements.
Application Ownership
  • Support the full application lifecycle and roadmap for Workday, helping to reduce technical debt and maximize modernization opportunities.
  • Own user-based security and compliance, including oversight of integration system user accounts, roles, access controls, and audit evidence.
  • Oversee Workday system stability, health, and performance, coordinating with infrastructure and integration teams to resolve systemic issues.
  • Ensure that Workday integrations, configuration, and security adhere to compliance requirements and remain audit‑ready.
  • Maintain system documentation and knowledge repositories including integration inventory, security policies, configuration rationale and architecture decisions.
  • Make risk‑based decisions on high‑impact changes, ensuring appropriate quality controls, testing rigor, approval workflows, and rollback procedures are in place.
Business System Management
  • Participate in Workday demand intake, contributing to backlog prioritization and emerging solution evaluation.
  • Support and influence Workday governance, including design authorities, decision forums, architecture reviews, and change controls.
  • Coordinate delivery execution by partnering with the IT PMO to plan sprints, track milestones, align cross‑functional stakeholders and manage dependencies in an agile delivery environment.
  • Lead release management activities for biannual Workday updates, ensuring proactive evaluation and adoption of new features—including Workday’s emerging AI/ML capabilities.
  • Serve as a Tier‑3 escalation point for complex issues, driving root cause analysis, incident remediation, and problem management.
  • Collaborate with IT operations teams to define and monitor SLAs, performance indicators, and service quality metrics.
  • Assist in managing vendor and partner performance, ensuring alignment to SOWs, deliverables, quality gates, and architectural expectations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of IT solution experience in functional and integrations development role with minimum 5 years in Workday Technology.
  • Deep knowledge of Workday HCM: business processes, configuration patterns, security domains/BP policies, data model.
