Job Summary

Otsuka is seeking a Senior System Analyst with expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to design, develop, and deploy modern cloud applications and extensions that power our enterprise digital landscape. The role focuses on architecting and building scalable solutions on SAP BTP using CAP, Node.js/Java, SAP UI5/Fiori, and Integration Suite while ensuring secure, clean‑core extensibility for SAP S/4

HANA. The Senior System Analyst collaborates closely with functional teams, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑performing applications, seamless system integrations, and cloud‑native services that support critical business processes across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Technical / Service Management: Collaborate with IT leadership to enable and support strategic programs and projects, manage business expectations and alignment to business requirements, and develop and present materials to gain alignment from functional area colleagues.
  • Technical/Service Analyst: Lead the requirement gathering effort, analyze business needs, perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and optimization identification activities. Work with Senior Architect and Architect to develop business cases with defined solution recommendations and vendor evaluations, evaluate and qualify opportunities, and define measurable business outcomes.
  • Subject Matter Resource: Provide technical/service delivery working knowledge to assist in evaluating improvements in process and execution, maintain awareness of industry trends, and offer recommendations to facilitate decision making.
  • Configurator:
    Possess or develop the capabilities to configure software products within the relevant domain, applying configuration skills to support business needs.
  • Support of Architect, Senior Architect:
    Assist Principal, Senior and Architect with project portfolio maintenance, quality platform assessment, demand management, estimation, prioritization, budgeting and forecasting, technology governance, and coordination with the IT Portfolio and Project Management Office.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of Life Sciences experience, with 2+ years in an IT technology or service delivery role supporting a specific function area.
  • Knowledge of leading technology trends, best practices, and relevant industry regulations governing the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing functional area/domain specific solutions and working with globally distributed teams in Japan, EU, and India.
  • Process design, documentation, problem solving, and presentation skills with the ability to influence all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Proven success delivering new technology/service delivery capabilities using SDLC practices.
  • Up to 5‑10% travel required.
  • Educational requirement:
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or adjacent fields. Advanced degree in sciences, business administration, or pharmaceuticals desirable.

Salary & Benefits

Minimum $ – Maximum $ in the United States, plus incentive opportunities. Typical pay falls within the established range based on experience, skills, and internal comparability.
