Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Field Medical Analytics, is the primary analytics partner and strategic advisor for senior medical affairs stakeholders- across Oncology and Hematology Therapeutic Areas. This high-visibility leadership role is accountable for driving complex analytics initiatives, leading a dedicated team, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver actionable insights that support Field Medical's strategic priorities.
The incumbent will serve as BMS's recognized expert in field medical analytics, champion the adoption of AI-driven capabilities across the function, and continuously anticipate the evolving needs of internal and external stakeholders. The role is part of the Commercialization AI Strategy and Analytics (CASA) organization.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of Field Medical Analytics strategy, translating data and insights into business solutions that support both near-term execution and long-term Field Medical objectives.
Accountable for the design and execution of analytics initiatives across go-to-market strategy, field execution, and medical impact measurement.
Serve as the primary analytics partner and strategic advisor for senior Field Medical and Medical Affairs stakeholders across Oncology and Hematology therapeutic area specialists. Depending on interest from candidate the role could expand to include Cell Therapy over time.
Anticipate and address complex, novel analytics challenges impacting Medical Affairs at global, national and strategic levels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Medical Analytics, Commercialization Analytics, Medical Excellence, and Strategy & Operations - to align field medical analytics with broader BMS commercialization and medical strategies.
Analyze and synthesize advanced data sets, applying statistical modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytical techniques to deliver strategic, actionable intelligence on emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
Lead the development and implementation of innovative performance measurement frameworks, continuously refining approaches to elevate field medical engagement outcomes and optimize go-to-market strategies.
Champion the adoption of Generative AI and predictive analytics within Field Medical Analytics, identifying and scaling use cases that improve MSL targeting, HCP engagement quality, and medical insight generation.
Build and deploy AI-powered HCP segmentation and targeting models that enable personalized scientific engagement at scale, leveraging real-world data, claims data, and behavioral signals.
Leverage Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Generative AI to synthesize unstructured data - including scientific literature, congress content, and real-world evidence - into actionable insights for Field Medical teams.
Develop AI-driven KOL/KEE identification and mapping capabilities to optimize Field Medical deployment and strategic prioritization across therapeutic areas.
Evaluate and implement predictive omnichannel engagement models that anticipate HCP needs, enabling MSLs to proactively deliver relevant scientific content through the right channel at the right time.
Partner with IT and data engineering teams to enable scalable AI/ML pipelines that deliver real-time intelligence into Field Medical workflows and CRM platforms.
Monitor the competitive and regulatory landscape for AI and analytics innovation in pharma Medical Affairs, recommending and piloting new tools and approaches to maintain BMS's strategic advantage.
Lead and manage analytics teams, including resource allocation, performance management, and strategic execution of deliverables, ensuring high-quality results within defined timelines and budgets.
Lead high-impact analytics projects interfacing with internal and external partners to ensure successful project execution and issue resolution.
Establish and nurture senior-level relationships across BMS, promoting best-in-class analytical practices, digital and AI capabilities, and the sharing of insights globally.
Mentor and develop field medical analytics talent, fostering a high-performing team culture characterized by innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
