Duties:
Articulate the architectural vision, conceptualizes and experiments with alternative architectural approaches. Develop and validate the architecture and high level solution design against business requirements. Define prerequisites (what gets developed first). Implement technology specific Service Now best practice and standards guidance to less experienced consultants. Serve as Service Now technical and process best practice advisor/SME to customers and teammates. Administer the Service Now instance including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions.
Provide subject matter expertise, act as technical product advocate, design, develop and implement ITIL processes, ITSM, ITOM, CSM, Knowledge, IRE, SAM/HAM and Release Management modules within Service Now platform. Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solutions. Experience in multiple Service Now implementations. Develop appropriate software solutions to requests for new services and functionality. Propose data model, design changes to processes and products, exert significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment.
Review and refine designs for usability, review testing scenarios and refines test cases, to ensure applications quality and works with users to review test results to ensure they meet expected results. Support and coordinate scheduling and execution of releases, product upgrades, new technology deployments. Evaluate new features and produce comprehensive analysis and recommendations. Perform and participate in product road map planning.
Produce and maintain detailed system documentation including design specs, maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment, disaster recovery, tech notes, and testing, etc. Create and maintain the current state of the Service Now platform architecture documentation and provide architectural control. Create well-structured test plans and coordinate testing activities. Translate technical complexities to project stakeholders and make sure they understand the effects of the design decisions on the areas of Service Now Platform.
Participate in the configuration of new applications or suites during planning, development, and roll out phases. Contribute to the strategic development of new platform customization, as needed, based on customer needs. Maintain an awareness and understanding of technological advances; provide continuous research and assessment of new resources and technology available for Service Now platform.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering, or a related field plus 8 years of experience in IT. 8 years of experience must include a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT architecture and application design. Experience must include the following skills: IT architecture methodologies, standards and best practices and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience on the Service Now platform;
Software performance engineering practice and consultation;
Service Now technical and process best practice advisor/SME and administer the Service Now instance including the delegation of group, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions;
Technical product advocate, design, develop and implement ITIL processes, ITSM, ITOM, CSM, IRE, SAM/HAMand Release Management modules within Service Now platform.
Salary range: $165,000/year - $190,000/year
