Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the strategic roadmap for AI Enablement and Adoption, leading the operationalization of AI awareness, enablement, and adoption roadmap, ensuring alignment with Otsuka’s AI strategy and measuring effectiveness.
  • Lead coordination of AI Governance, including the AI Enablement Committee, AI Science and Applications Council, Data and AI Platform Council, and use‑case assessment and review meetings.
  • Coordinate AI use‑case assessment and architecture reviews, maintain a catalog of use cases and their status across the lifecycle, track user feedback, and facilitate strategic communication about adoption and refinements.
  • Track use‑case activities through stage gates and manage end‑to‑end coordination of stakeholder engagement, escalating when needed.
  • Define and track key performance indicators with stakeholders to measure ROI and effectiveness of AI initiatives, using data‑driven insights to refine strategies and demonstrate business value.
  • Contribute to operationalization of a responsible AI framework across use cases and ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and the EU AI Act, coordinating with Legal, Security, and Risk.
  • Monitor KPIs for adoption and ROI, and coordinate with IT, data science, and product teams.
  • Lead enablement and cultural transformation initiatives, working with Change Management and AI enablement networks to train teams, foster AI fluency, awareness, and innovation.
  • Align with or lead coordination of initiatives adjacent to AI in the Data Analytics portfolio, such as Data strategy, Real World Data Strategy, or analytics governance.
  • Act as a strategic bridge between Data Analytics, IT, and business functions, facilitating responsible and compliant development and use of AI solutions at scale within the portfolio.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in pharma drug development or commercialization, enterprise digital transformation, or technology adoption, with at least 7 years in biopharmaceuticals and experience integrating technology in a regulated setting.
  • Experience with AI/ML concepts and technology transformation.
  • Excellent coordination, project management, change management, stakeholder management, and delivery of complex multi‑year enterprise initiatives.
  • Broad understanding of drug development and R&D organization and associated processes.
  • Excellent understanding of pharma business, processes, and regulations to effectively deliver on AI transformation.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex AI to non‑technical stakeholders, along with leadership, collaboration, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams such as data science, AI, and IT, and familiarity with concepts in AI, data, analytics, and governance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and change‑management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a complex, matrixed organization.

Compensation

Minimum $ – Maximum $, plus incentive opportunity. This range represents a typical pay range for individuals hired in the United States.
