Job Summary
The Manager, Sr. Systems Analyst collaborates with IT and customer teams to identify, assess, operate, and continuously improve technology and service delivery solutions, focusing on enterprise procurement and source‑to‑pay platforms such as SAP Ariba. The role coordinates across shared services groups within IT and other functions to analyze, align, integrate, operate, optimize, document, and enable new capabilities for Otsuka and its affiliates.
CoreResponsibilities
- Collaborate with IT leadership to enable and support strategic programs and projects, managing business expectations and alignment to business requirements.
- Lead requirement gathering, analyze business needs, perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and identify optimization opportunities for procurement and source‑to‑pay enhancements and integrations.
- Work with Senior Architect and Architect to develop business cases, evaluate vendors, and define measurable business outcomes.
- Identify process and technology improvement opportunities and partner with cross‑domain teams to execute projects.
- Provide technical service delivery knowledge to evaluate improvements in procurement and supplier management processes.
- Configure software products within the domain, including SAP Ariba, applying configuration skills to support business needs.
- Assist Principal, Senior and Architect in portfolio building, demand management, estimation & prioritization, budgeting, and technology governance processes.
- Minimum of 5 years of Life Sciences experience, with 2+ years in an IT technology or service delivery role supporting procurement or supplier management platforms.
- Experience supporting or implementing SAP Ariba or similar source‑to‑pay platforms.
- Knowledge of technology trends, best practices, and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
- Hands‑on experience using or implementing domain‑specific solutions and working with globally distributed teams (Japan, EU, India).
- Strong technical analyst skills, including process design, documentation, problem solving, and presentation to senior leadership.
- Successful delivery of new technology or service delivery capabilities using SDLC practices.
- Educational qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree in sciences, business administration, or pharmaceuticals is desirable. - Up to 5-10% travel as required.
