Position Summary
The Director, CDA Strategy is responsible for delivering the strategy, technology roadmap, and processes for acquiring data for clinical trials, keeping the site and patient experience at the forefront; enabling analysis and reporting and promoting automation.
Position Responsibilities- Define and drive the strategy for collecting clinical trial data (site-based EDC, external vendor data, eCOA, device/digital data), integrating with end-to-end data strategies; develop technology roadmaps to promote automation and embed AI.
- Define processes/technologies/data flows to collect new data types and update existing ones, ensuring standardization and integration across end-to-end data flow.
- Develop key data collection components to optimize the site and patient experience while meeting downstream analysis/reporting requirements.
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives to establish industry‑leading data capture capabilities (e.g., EMR to EDC); create charters/plans, sponsorship communications, implementation plans; drive projects from start to finish.
- Develop senior leadership communications, including proposals and business cases.
- Make decisions, solve complex problems, and deliver on accountabilities.
- Stay current with industry evolution to simplify/enhance UX, leverage automation/AI, improve efficiencies, and invest to stay ahead of trends.
- Lead development/maintenance of procedural documents aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Build relationships across GDM, DQS, Drug Development and BMS; partner with vendors and external partners for data collection.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of strategy/technology/process experience in clinical data acquisition across modalities (site‑collected, external, eCOA, device/digital), including data integration, automation, and AI.
- Track record leading/influencing strategy and making decisions.
- Expert understanding of clinical data acquisition end‑to‑end flows.
- Proven EDC (including Medidata Rave), external vendor data, eCOA, and digital/device data expertise.
- Demonstrated use of automation and AI.
- Ability to deliver tangible impact via cross‑functional strategic projects.
- Strong communication skills; ability to craft senior leadership communications/business cases.
- Knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
- Starting compensation range: $200,980–$243,544 (Madison–Giralda, NJ and Princeton–NJ). Additional incentive cash/stock may be available (eligibility‑based).
