Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Platform Lead will provide technical direction and support across platforms and systems, aligning with the technology roadmap within their domain. The role coordinates across shared services groups within IT, software companies, and service providers to integrate new capabilities and operate existing platforms for Otsuka and its affiliates.
Core Responsibilities- Platform Strategist – Work with IT business partnership, plan and develop technical and architectural components of the capability roadmap, ensuring solutions are globally scalable and maintainable.
- Platform Implementation Technical Lead – Provide technical leadership for new capability projects across internal, contractor, and vendor environments, collaborate with delivery teams to reduce risk, improve quality, and deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
- Platform Support Lead – Build and manage relationships with managed service providers, track incidents, drive action plans to resolve problems, and identify risks.
- Subject Matter Resource – Communicate complex technical information to senior management and stakeholders, participate in forums and working groups, and drive continuous improvement of applications.
- 8+ years of experience delivering solutions for business, managing global platform implementations, with at least 3 years in Life Sciences.
- Experience with offshore technical teams, Agile methodologies, project management, IT SDLC, Dev Ops, and analytics/BI/data modeling.
- Technical knowledge of platforms such as Veeva/Salesforce, Snowflake, data integration, and APIs.
- Demonstrated presentation, interpersonal, and emotional intelligence skills.
- Proficiency in applying architectural principles and tools.
- Up to 10% travel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
