SAP Security Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled SAP Security Manager to lead and strengthen SAP security controls across a complex, regulated pharma/biotech environment. Reporting to the Director of SAP Platforms, this role requires deep expertise in SAP Security, SAP GRC, and SAP S/4

HANA, as well as strong knowledge of compliance frameworks such as GxP, SOX, and GDPR.

This is a hands‑on role for a subject‑matter expert who thrives in audit‑ready environments and can collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and external partners to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient SAP access management.

• Design, implement, and maintain SAP security and authorization frameworks across ECC and SAP S/4
  
  HANA systems
• Develop and manage SAP roles aligned with GxP, SOX, GDPR, and internal compliance standards
• Perform user access management, including provisioning, de‑provisioning, emergency access, and periodic access reviews
• Configure and support SAP GRC Access Control and Pathlock solutions for segregation of duties (SoD) and compliance monitoring
• Manage SAP S/4
  
  HANA and SAP Fiori security, including catalogs, groups, and role assignments
• Support integration with SAP bolt‑on applications (e.g., Black Line, BTP Security)
• Partner with audit teams by preparing documentation, reports, and evidence for internal and external audits
• Contribute to system validation activities, including risk assessments, impact analysis, and change documentation
• Maintain up‑to‑date security documentation, including role design, policies, and control procedures
• Collaborate with SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) teams and functional/technical stakeholders
• Coordinate daily operations with Application Management Service (AMS) partners and external consultants

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in SAP Security and Authorizations
• Strong expertise in SAP GRC Access Control
• Solid understanding of SAP S/4
  
  HANA security architecture and SAP Fiori authorization concepts
• Experience working in GxP‑regulated environments (pharma, biotech, or similar industries)
• Proven experience in audit support and compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, GxP)
• Hands‑on experience with SAP bolt‑on tools such as Black Line and SAP BTP Security
• Familiarity with Pathlock access control solutions
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
• Experience working in global SAP environments or SAP CoE structures
• Exposure to large‑scale SAP transformation or S/4
  
  HANA migration projects
• Ability to collaborate with distributed teams and external vendors
