6-12+ Month Contract (project up to 3 years)
Location - Downers Grove, Princeton, NJ or Quincy, MA (2 days a week onsite in one of these locations)
Our client is looking to add a VMware Cloud Engineer to support a large-scale virtualization environment with 5,000+ VMs. This role will focus on VMware administration, Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on AWS, on-prem to cloud migrations, hybrid cloud connectivity, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
Responsibilities- Manage and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
- Lead migrations from on-prem VMware infrastructure to AWS and NC2.
- Support and optimize large-scale environments with 5,000+ virtual machines.
- Troubleshoot virtualization, storage, networking, and cloud connectivity issues.
- Configure and support hybrid cloud networking, VPNs, routing, and connectivity.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and network teams on modernization initiatives.
- 5-8+ years of VMware engineering experience.
- Strong expertise with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Experience migrating VMware workloads to AWS.
- Hands-on experience with Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience supporting large enterprise virtual environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, AWS, Nutanix NC2, Hybrid Cloud, Cloud Migration, Networking, Storage, Power Shell, PowerCLI.
Primary Focus: VMware, NC2 on AWS, Cloud Migration, Hybrid Cloud Connectivity, and Infrastructure Support.
The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($55-57/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, retirement and/or other benefits are available after a waiting period.
