Our client is currently seeking a qualified Lead Audio Visual Technician to join their team onsite in Princeton, NJ.
This technician serves as the senior AV resource responsible for conference room technology, executive event support, hybrid corporate meetings, and related collaboration environments. The role combines advanced hands-on technical support with coordination, mentoring, training, documentation, and continuous improvement responsibilities. The Lead works across AV, Desktop Support, Facilities, Network Support, meeting organizers, and third-party vendors to promote consistent execution and reliable service delivery.
LeadTechnician
- Serve as the on-site senior AV technician and primary technical escalation point for complex conference room, hybrid event, and executive support issues
- Coordinate daily AV activities among AV technicians, Desktop Support technicians, Facilities personnel, Network Support teams, meeting organizers, and third-party vendors
- Lead cross-functional troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for recurring AV incidents, and drive corrective actions to completion
- Assist management with workload priorities and resource coordination for executive meetings, town halls, large events, technology refreshes, and other high-visibility activities
- Establish, document, and reinforce AV operating standards, support procedures, and technical best practices
- Mentor and coach AV and Desktop Support personnel, promote cross-training, and provide structured knowledge transfer
- Develop, maintain, and deliver recurring in-service training that improves technician readiness, service consistency, and supplemental AV coverage
- Identify technical or procedural knowledge gaps and implement targeted training and documentation improvements
- Serve as an AV subject matter expert and provide recommendations for room upgrades, technology refreshes, operational improvements, and support readiness
- Provide advanced audio/visual support for ETS conference rooms, training facilities, executive meetings, and corporate events
- Plan, coordinate, and support onsite, remote, and hybrid meetings, including corporate events with 200 or more attendees using professional-quality audio and video equipment
- Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise AV systems, conference room technologies, and collaboration platforms
- Support live events in which presenters and audience members may be split between the presentation location and remote connections
- Provide real-time troubleshooting during executive meetings, town halls, board meetings, and other critical business events
- Work with meeting organizers and Facilities teams on room configuration, event setup, testing, execution, and post-event restoration
- Develop and deliver instructor-led, hands-on, and refresher in-service training for AV and Desktop Support technicians as needed or requested
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures, quick-reference guides, knowledge articles, conference room instructions, and training materials
- Conduct onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and knowledge-transfer sessions for new and existing support personnel
- Deliver end-user instruction on conference room technology and collaboration platforms when requested
- Assess recurring incident trends for root causes and potential elimination or standard workarounds
