Labor & Employment Counsel – Strategic Advisory Law Firm

Our client, a dynamic and growing Northern New Jersey firm, is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel to join its expanding management-side practice. This is a foundational opportunity for a sophisticated labor and employment attorney with a minimum of 10 years of experience who has built meaningful advisory credibility and is ready to assume increased client responsibility, operating within a firm that is actively expanding.

The Counsel will advise business owners, C‑suite executives, and HR leadership on complex workplace and compliance matters, including workplace policy development, discipline and termination decisions, leave and accommodation issues, wage and hour compliance, reductions in force, restrictive covenant and separation agreements, workplace investigations, and administrative proceedings before the EEOC, DOL, NJDCR, and NYSDHR. The focus is on strategic, business oriented counseling that strengthens institutional client relationships and supports long term growth.

The successful Counsel will demonstrate sound judgment, executive presence, and a practical, solutions oriented approach. A portable book is welcome but not required. The platform is service driven, with direct client access and limited internal layering. Compensation includes salary ($255K-to-$280K+), performance based bonuses, origination compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k). Admission to NJ Bar in good standing required (NY Bar admission a plus).
