We’re hiring a Senior Supply Chain Manager to help shape what’s next in cell therapy.
Made Scientific is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain execution across its Newark and Princeton sites. This role is responsible for the strategic and tactical oversight of planning, procurement, inventory management, and supplier performance—ensuring uninterrupted support of manufacturing, R&D, and customer commitments.
The ideal candidate will combine hands-on operational leadership with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, driving continuous improvement, cost optimization, and resiliency across a multi-site supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Planning & Execution- Own demand, supply, and materials planning processes for the Newark and Princeton sites, ensuring alignment with production schedules, project timelines, and commercial forecasts.
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term supply plans that balance service levels, inventory optimization, and capacity constraints.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, and Commercial teams to translate demand signals into executable supply plans.
- Identify and proactively mitigate supply risks, including capacity constraints, supplier disruptions, and material shortages.
- Lead procurement strategy and execution for raw materials, consumables, services, and capital equipment across both sites.
- Manage supplier selection, contract negotiation, pricing, and performance with a focus on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance.
- Establish and track supplier KPIs, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure suppliers meet applicable GMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee inventory planning and controls to maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Ensure efficient inbound and inter-site logistics, including coordination of third-party logistics providers as needed.
- Implement best practices for inventory accuracy and cycle counting at both sites.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and development for supply chain and procurement team members.
- Serve as a key cross-functional partner to Site Leadership, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and R&D.
- Support new product introductions, scale-up activities, and site expansion initiatives from a supply chain perspective.
- Drive process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to improve service, reduce cost, and increase scalability.
- Leverage ERP/MRP systems and data analytics to improve forecasting accuracy, supply visibility, and decision-making.
- Support system enhancements, data governance, and standardization across Newark and Princeton operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, including planning and procurement leadership.
- Proven experience managing multi-site supply chains in manufacturing, life sciences, biotech, pharma, or similarly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, demand planning, inventory management, and supplier negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at multiple organizational levels.
- Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Supply Chain, or related field).
- Experience in GMP-regulated or highly controlled manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies for scientific, laboratory, or biologics-related materials.
- APICS/ASCM certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.
