Associate Director, Clinical Supply Lead Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day direction for forecasting, planning, and end-to-end (E2E) clinical supply chain activities across assigned compounds, assets, and studies within a Therapeutic Area (TA).
  • Ensure high-quality execution of planning, supply readiness, and asset/study support via partnerships with peer Clinical Supply Leads, Trial Supply Managers (TSMs), and intra-study teams.
  • Recognize and address technical and regulatory issues impacting clinical development objectives.
  • Support CSC leadership with coordination and execution of CSC support for assigned assets/studies and creation/sustainment of a data-enabled CSL ecosystem integrated with common systems/tools and emerging technologies (including AI).
  • Own clinical supply planning and execution for assigned assets/studies; resolve issues within scope and timely elevate higher-impact risks.
  • Lead matrix teams to develop cross-functional strategies, resourcing, and implementation plans to ensure continuous supply and timely delivery of quality clinical supplies.
  • Oversee complex study supply forecast development, including inventory/drug utilization vs. forecast with country requirements and logistics timelines.
  • Partner with Global Development Operations (GDO) and Finance to operationalize CD&OP; attend Demand Alignment and run Supply Review meetings for owned products.
  • Manage risks/escalations and support budget inputs/tracking in coordination with CSBS.
Qualifications & Experience (Required/Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • 10+ years clinical supply chain or related operational planning/leadership experience.
  • Knowledge across drug development phases and relevant processes; strong planning/forecasting/execution of investigational material supply strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with/influencing cross-functional teams; leading change in dynamic environments.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; monitoring global clinical supply process milestones.
  • Strong background in cGxPs and ICH requirements.
