Our client,

NJHA’s Health Information Management (HIM) division is seeking a Senior Director of Health Information Management who is passionate about service innovation, operational excellence and supporting new and existing members.
The Sr. Director is responsible for service development, marketing strategy, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and overall operational excellence of the division. This critical hire will ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and financially sustainable HIM services to member organizations and clients while identifying growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute annual goals, objectives, and budgets for the HIM division
- Identify market needs and lead the development of HIM products and services to ensure growth and financial sustainability
- Oversee daily HIM operations, including medical record management, coding, documentation integrity, and release of information
- Establish and monitor performance standards for productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, accreditation standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Serve as the senior HIM subject-matter expert, advising leadership on regulatory, operational, and technology trends
- Direct marketing, outreach, client proposals, and relationship management
- Manage and develop the HIM team
- 8+ years of HIM experience, including 5+ years in leadership
- Expertise in business development, service-line management, marketing strategy, and financial oversight
- Deep knowledge of HIM operations, coding standards (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS), and healthcare regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s degree and RHIA/RHIT certification preferred)
Base Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000
