Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The mission of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to package, ship, receive, and perform other warehouse and shipping duties while following established procedures.

Key Responsibilities Receive and process material orders daily, including accepting and labeling deliveries, and distribute packages and letters internally.

Prepare shipping documents and schedule freight pickups as required.

Route freight to provide the most economical transport of goods and meet customer requirements.

Prepare products, spare parts, return parts, or other items for shipment.

Inspect freight upon arrival, document signs of damage, resolve freight claims in a timely manner.

Verify receipts of purchased goods from suppliers, locate product, process paperwork, and complete all necessary transactions.

Pick parts and product from inventory locations.

Maintain shipping supply inventory.

Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to move material to and from shipping or receiving platform to storage area or work area.

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Assist and support the Shipping and Receiving department, and Production Supervisor with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent1-3 years of Shipping and Receiving experience preferred

Skills and Competencies Strong computer skills – Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite Basic knowledge of shipment setup via UPS, FEDEX, and freight trucking preferred

Strong attention to detail and organization

High level of communication skills

Physical Requirements Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis

Ability to stand for up to 10 hours

Excellent hand/eye coordination

Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools

Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina

Consistently wear personal protective equipment

Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels

Requisition  expected base pay range for this position is between $19.00 and $24.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
