The D&A Developer is responsible for managing and executing development projects from concept through completion, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with quality and business objectives. This role primarily focuses on beverage development, including the formulation, testing, optimization, and documentation of new and existing beverage products. The D&A Developer collaborates with cross‑functional teams such as Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Procurement, and Production to ensure formulations meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, cost targets, and manufacturing capabilities.

Additionally, the role involves maintaining detailed project documentation, supporting product trials and scale‑ups, troubleshooting formulation challenges, and driving continuous improvement throughout the product development process.

Your Role
  • Manage product development projects from concept through commercialization while meeting quality, timeline, and budget goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to standardize and optimize development processes.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Quality, Sales, Procurement, Production, and Product Management to deliver innovative beverage solutions.
  • Develop and optimize beverage formulations, production processes, and manufacturing methods for both new and existing products.
  • Lead recipe development for innovation initiatives and customer‑specific B2B (and when applicable, B2C) projects.
  • Research, evaluate, and introduce new ingredients and raw materials to improve product quality, functionality, and cost efficiency.
  • Design, coordinate, and support product testing, including shelf‑life studies, ingredient evaluations, and validation trials.
  • Analyze customer and competitive products to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Scale formulations from laboratory development to commercial production while supporting manufacturing implementation.
  • Create product samples, oversee laboratory blends, and evaluate finished products through sensory testing.
  • Maintain accurate recipes, formulations, and product data within SAP and other internal systems.
  • Partner with Recipe Management to optimize the product portfolio for quality, cost, and resource efficiency.
  • Work closely with Technical Project Managers, Sales, and Technical Account Managers to translate customer needs into successful product solutions.
  • Lead customer meetings, product demonstrations, and technical workshops for strategic projects.
Compensation

$115,000 – $125,000

Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, food science, or other related field.
  • SAP experience.
  • 3‑5 years’ experience in food and / or beverage development.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
