Pre-Admission Registered Nurse
Surgical Specialists at Princeton has an immediate need for a full‑time Pre‑Admission Registered Nurse. At Surgical Specialists at Princeton, we believe healthcare is inseparable. ResponsibilitiesThe Pre‑Admission Registered Nurse is responsible for organizing and directing activities in accordance with nursing standards, JC, Medicare and all other applicable federal, state and local guidelines.
Responsibilities include:
contact patients by telephone prior to surgery to assess medical and medication history, review for appropriate lab, x‑ray, EKG orders to determine where and when these procedures are to be completed, provide pre‑admission teaching, implement all physician orders, provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluate patient conditions, and ensure patient safety, comfort, privacy at all times.
- Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
- 2 years of experience in Pre‑Admission and/or Pre‑Op preferred
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
$43.00/hr - $48.00/hr (wages are determined based upon a number of factors, including but not limited to an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
