Overview

On-Site We have an immediate opening for a Flavor compounding at Princeton, NJ creative center. Work side by side with Flavorists in compounding flavors used in newly developed foods, beverages, and supplements. Maintain your own laboratory space while compounding formula for internal use and submission to clients. Collaborate with your colleagues as a critical part of the Creation team.

• Compound formulae at a reliable and precise level, for flavorists and internal use and submission to clients.
• Prepare compounded flavor dilutions and tasting samples for flavorist approval and testing.
• Maintain, manage, and coordinate shipment of Flavors samples.
• Keep daily compounding record, lab raw material record and other appropriate documentation on all laboratory work performed.
• Maintain and replenishing laboratory supplies of stock raw materials, solutions, collection oil samples, glassware, and general laboratory equipment, ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced.
• Maintain clean and well-organized laboratory/workplace independently operate standard equipment/procedures to the required level. Assure compliance of HS&E procedures and proactively contribute to the improvement of lab safety.
• Identify common problems/issues encountered, report when an abnormal phenomenon happen solubility, stability, colour change, etc. Maintain awareness of technology and issues affecting own job.

• Associate’s degree in chemistry/laboratory sciences or at least 1 year of flavor experience in a laboratory setting.
• 1+ years’ experience in the flavors and fragrance industry.
• Verbal and written communication Skills.
• Familiar with using SAP tools for logistics and material requests
• Basic computer knowledge
• Olfactive Skills
• Passion for technology
• Collaboration and team spirit

The hourly rate provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly Rate $20-$25 per hour.
