Researcher in Space Physics
Position:
Postdoctoral Research Associate and/or Senior Research Positions in Space Physics at Princeton University. The Space Physics Group in the Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University anticipates offering one or more postdoctoral or senior research positions in experimental and observational space physics.
- Analysis and publication of Energetic Neutral Atom (ENA) data and other observations from IBEX.
- Analysis and publication of energetic particle observations from ISIS (Parker Solar Probe).
- Analysis and publication of observations from IMAP, particularly solar wind and pickup ion data.
- Other funded space physics research within the Group.
- A Ph.D. in Space Physics or a related field.
- Prior experience in analyzing ENA and/or charged particle data.
- Proven ability to lead or contribute to the rapid development and publication of numerous outstanding research articles.
- Experience in developing space instruments is advantageous.
- Strong publication track record and expertise in experimental and observational space plasma physics.
Postdoctoral Research Associate: $88,700. Associate Research Scholar: $97,500. The term of appointment depends on rank: one-year for postdoctoral with possibility of renewal based on performance; senior ranks receive multi-year appointments. The University offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees.
Position requires a background check, and is in-person on Princeton campus.
