As a Ligand Binding Analytical Scientist II, you'll be part of an innovative organization that combines scientific rigor with mission‑driven commitment to improving patient outcomes. Your role is hands‑on, laboratory‑based at our Princeton, NJ office—ideal for someone eager to deepen expertise in ligand binding assays while supporting impactful bioanalytical work that fuels clinical trials worldwide.
Responsibilities- Perform ligand binding assays (e.g., ELISA, ECL, RIA, cell‑based assays) in accordance with established methods, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Support method development, optimization, and validation activities for LBAs used to measure biomarkers, pharmacokinetics (PK), and immunogenicity.
- Process and analyze biological matrices (e.g., serum, plasma) using validated assay procedures.
- Operate key laboratory instruments and platforms such as MSD, ELISA readers, automated liquid handlers, and immunoassay systems.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assay performance issues in collaboration with senior scientists.
- Document all laboratory activities with precision to ensure data integrity, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
- Review raw data, perform data reduction, and ensure data accuracy using specialized software applications.
- Contribute to creation, review, and improvement of SOPs and technical documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment, including equipment maintenance and waste handling.
- Support general laboratory operations to ensure seamless daily workflow.
- A bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or another relevant scientific discipline.
- Hands‑on laboratory experience with ligand binding assays (ELISA, ECL, or related platforms).
- Understanding of bioanalytical processes and regulated laboratory environments.
- Experience using analytical software and strong proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with immunoassay platforms such as MSD or similar systems (a strong plus).
- Experience working under GxP or other regulated frameworks.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a collaborative work style.

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
