The Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University anticipates offering a number of postdoctoral or more senior research positions in theory, observation, and instrumentation. Positions may be in the following areas:
- Lyman Spitzer, Jr. Postdoctoral Fellowship
- Henry Norris Russell Postdoctoral Fellowship
- The Vera
C. Rubin Observatory Data Management Team - Research related to exoplanets and AI
- Interstellar medium / star formation
- Gravitational dynamics
- Plasma astrophysics
- Theoretical astrophysics

Expected start date is September 1, 2026, although this is flexible. Term of appointment: postdoctoral positions are one year with renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding; senior rank positions may have multi‑year appointments.
Required Qualifications- PhD in Astronomy or a related field
- Curriculum Vitae, publication list, research statement, and contact information for three references submitted by November 1, 2025
- Applications will be considered until positions are filled
- PDRA: $65,000 – $86,000
- ARS: $79,000 – $99,000
