Creation Lab Technician, Health Nutrition & Care (HNC), Taste – Part‑Time – Princeton, NJ

Key Responsibilities

Flavor Compounding & Sample Preparation

Accurately compound flavor formulas provided by flavorists.
Prepare bench samples and prototypes for evaluation and customer submission.
Scale formulations from bench to pilot quantities.

Formula & Data Management

Maintain and update formulations in digital systems (e.g., MUSE & Canopy).
Ensure traceability of ingredients, lot numbers, and revisions.
Support creation team with version control and documentation.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure all samples meet SOP and quality standards before release.
Identify and elevate technical or compounding issues.
Follow good laboratory practices (GLP) and safety procedures.

Raw Material & Lab Management

Handle and organize flavor raw materials and ingredients.
Maintain inventory and storage conditions (temperature, stability).
Keep workbench and lab clean, organized, audit‑ready.

Collaboration with Flavorists

Work closely with flavorists during formulation development.
Support iteration cycles and rapid prototyping.
Assist with preparation for sensory panels and evaluations.

Operational & Team Support

Manage multiple sample requests under tight timelines.
Coordinate with internal teams (applications, QC, regulatory).
Support colleagues and maintain a strong team‑oriented mindset.

You Bring

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in chemistry, food science, or related field.
1+ year of lab or technician experience (flavor/fragrance preferred).
Basic chemistry or food science knowledge.
Experience in laboratory compounding and weighing precision.
Familiarity with SOPs, documentation, and quality processes.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong ownership and accountability.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Salary and Benefits

Hourly: $27.50/hour. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs, and a broad range of other benefits.
