Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Biostatistics contributes to trial design, protocol development, analysis planning, interpretation of results, and preparation of regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate in design of clinical studies (methodology, data analysis & interpretation, reporting).
  • Author and/or review protocol synopsis, protocol, statistical analysis plans, case‑report forms, clinical study reports, publications, and other study‑level documents with minimum supervision.
  • Perform and/or validate statistical analyses; improve clarity of data display.
  • Communicate results to cross‑functional teams; provide interpretation in study documents and publications.
  • Translate scientific questions into statistical terms and explain statistical concepts in lay terms.
  • Ensure deliverables comply with BMS processes/SOPs and global/project standards; maintain quality.
  • Develop technical statistical knowledge and enhance understanding of drug development/regulatory needs.
  • Develop and advise team members; support an inclusive, respectful, compliant culture.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Fresh PhD with 3+ years’ experience OR MS with 5+ years’ experience in statistics/biostatistics (or related field) with clinical trials/drug development/pharma/healthcare experience.
  • Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python; advanced statistical analysis, data manipulation, graphing & simulation.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn regulatory and clinical trial design/analysis; work cross‑functionally; manage multiple assignments/priorities.
  • Preferred: standard/advanced statistical methods experience; good regulatory and clinical trial design understanding.
