Hourly, This is a 6-month internship opportunity.

• Assisting in collecting and analyzing BioNMR data.
• Expressing and purifying isotopically-labelled proteins for BioNMR studies.
• Documenting all research activities and maintaining a detailed laboratory notebook.
• Reading and interpreting papers to improve understanding and skills.
• Applying critical thinking towards the relevance of results.
• Assisting in document writing to effectively summarize and communicate the progress of the work.
• Perform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management.

• Ability to learn fast, absorb knowledge, and apply newly learned information daily.
• Possess an upbeat attitude with the desire to learn new skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to engage in independent work to increase job related knowledge and skills
• Ability to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential material.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
• Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.

• College degree (B.A. or
  
  B.S) with knowledge of biochemistry, molecular biology. Biomolecular NMR data collection
• Previous experience in expressing and purifying recombinant proteins from bacterial expression systems
• Previous experience independently collecting NMR data
• Basic understanding of computer skills including MSOffice (Excel, Powerpoint & Word) and Top Spin.

Standing/ sitting for long periods of time

$25- $30 Per Hour
