Position Overview
Store Managers at Burlington are responsible for leading all aspects of a multi‑million‑dollar store operation to maximize sales and deliver a world‑class shopping experience. They serve as mentors, role models, and coaches for their teams while upholding Burlington’s values of trust, respect, and integrity.
Responsibilities- Direct management of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates, ensuring implementation of company policies, standards, and initiatives.
- Oversee day‑to‑day merchandising, operations, and service management tasks.
- Partner with the Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising, to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions, and pricing.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Store Manager, Operations, to review receiving, transfers, debits/damages, returns‑to‑vendor, and chargeback paperwork for inventory accuracy.
- Act as Manager on Duty, setting standards and modeling Burlington SOPs.
- Manage sales volume and expense budget, reviewing reporting and record‑keeping.
- Recruit, screen, hire, onboard, and train new associates; provide ongoing coaching and structured learning.
- Handle personnel and associate relations issues.
- Manage payroll budget, workforce scheduling, and workforce management.
- Facilitate effective communication and partnerships among the store team, district and regional management, and other company partners.
- Minimum 5+years of retail management experience in a big‑box or specialty environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40lb.
- Experience with scheduling and reporting computer software.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Competitive base salary ($74,420.00–$93,025.00) plus associate discount.
