If you want to be at the heart of Five Below’s energy, our part-time Sales Associates are right in the center of the action. We’re looking for candidates with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service while driving strong sales. Key qualities include excellent people and sales skills, attention to detail in keeping merchandise organized, ensuring the floor is well-stocked, and providing seamless checkout experiences at the register.

• Greet and assist customers promptly:
  Approach and acknowledge customers immediately, provide assistance, and handle multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs:
  Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions:
  Inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns:
  Address customer issues and use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management:
  Regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and any customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals:
  Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

• At least 16 years old
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, handheld and mobile devices)
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
• Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues professionally
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training

• Frequent operation of cash register
• Frequent movement of merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and placing/removing merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
• Frequent ascent/descent of ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
• Frequent kneeling, bending, twisting, and stooping in stock room and on the sales floor
• Frequent communication with customers and coworkers in person and over the phone; ability to exchange accurate information
• Frequent movement across the sales floor to assist customers and retrieve/store merchandise
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and possibly overnight shifts and travel as required
• Must be able to interpret email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for long periods
