ABOUTTHE ROLE
Techno is seeking an accomplished Transportation Leader to drive strategic growth across New Jersey and the surrounding region. This executive-level position is designed for a relationship-builder, market strategist, and business developer who understands how public agencies procure professional services and how successful partnerships are built over time.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in expanding our transportation practice, strengthening agency relationships, and helping position the firm for long-term success in one of the nation's most active infrastructure markets.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with transportation agencies, public‑sector decision makers, and industry partners throughout New Jersey and the greater region.
- Identify emerging opportunities and guide strategic decisions regarding pursuit selection and resource investment.
- Lead capture planning efforts for major transportation and infrastructure opportunities, including positioning activities, teaming strategies, and client engagement initiatives.
- Work closely with technical and operational leadership to align market opportunities with firm capabilities and growth objectives.
- Expand the firm's visibility and presence within the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey markets through targeted outreach and relationship‑building efforts.
- Monitor transportation funding initiatives, capital programs, procurement forecasts, and legislative developments that may impact market opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted representative of the firm at industry conferences, agency meetings, professional associations, and networking events.
- Support client satisfaction, account growth, and long‑term partnership development across key transportation clients.
- Provide strategic insight into market trends, competitor activity, and evolving client priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Planning, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading business development, capture management, client engagement, or strategic growth initiatives within the transportation or civil infrastructure industry.
- Existing relationships and industry credibility with agencies such as NJDOT, NJ Transit, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, or other public‑sector transportation organizations.
- Strong understanding of qualifications‑based selection processes, public procurement requirements, and transportation consulting pursuits.
- Proven ability to develop opportunities, influence decision‑makers, and contribute to successful contract wins.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, technical professionals, teaming partners, and agency representatives.
The expected salary range for this role in New Jersey is $200,000 - $225,000 per year. Total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by experience, skill level, location, and qualifications and evaluated during the interview process.
