The Associate Account Manager (AAM) is a highly collaborative role responsible for supporting strategic account plans and serving as a key partner to the Key Account Managers. This hybrid role will be based in Princeton, NJ (3-4 days/week) and the remaining day(s) working remotely.
The AAM will be responsible for account profiling, contract pull-through, customer engagement, meeting coordination, GPO award administration, launch readiness activities, and ongoing business support across targeted healthcare accounts. The AAM will play a critical role in preparing the market for upcoming biosimilar launches and ensuring successful implementation of account strategies within community-based/large practice networks, infusion centers, and other strategic customers. Working cross-functionally with Market Access, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Medical Affairs, Trade, and Customer Service teams.
The AAM will help drive customer adoption, optimize contract utilization, and deliver a positive customer experience throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed account profiles for community-based/large practice networks, infusion centers, and other strategic customers.
- Research and document organizational structures, buying processes, decision makers, formulary pathways, and competitive dynamics.
- Identify opportunities and barriers impacting biosimilar adoption and account growth.
- Provide account intelligence and actionable insights to Corporate Account Managers and commercial leadership.
- Support implementation and pull-through of commercial and GPO contracts across assigned accounts.
- Support launch readiness activities for upcoming biosimilar and biologic product introductions.
- Assist with account-specific launch planning, customer onboarding, and implementation activities.
- Coordinate customer communications related to launch timelines, product availability, contracting, and educational initiatives.
- Manage scheduling, agendas, materials preparation, meeting logistics, and follow-up actions.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, biotechnology, specialty pharmacy, healthcare sales support, account management, market access, or related commercial roles.
- Experience supporting biologics, biosimilars, immunology, rheumatology, oncology, or specialty pharmaceutical products preferred.
- Experience supporting product launches.
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, GPOs, specialty distribution, reimbursement, and market access.
- Knowledge of account profiling, and contract pull-through activities.
- Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced launch environment.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from: $125,000 - $135,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
