Position Summary

The Asset Lead role will lead the development and execution of translational strategies in solid tumor oncology for assigned programs. The candidate will act as a lead scientist to implement and deliver innovative biomarker strategies for clinical programs, including patient selection, differentiation, resistance, combinations and indication selection. Responsibilities include developing reports and publications on translational data, contributing to regulatory submissions, and collaborating with cross‑functional project teams comprising disease and lab scientists, clinical, medical, commercial, regulatory, and diagnostics members.

External academic collaborators and key opinion leaders will also be engaged as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate translational research and clinical development, developing biomarker strategies aligned with clinical objectives and leading data generation and interpretation.
  • Understand the external research environment and partner with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate translational deliverables.
  • Champion and align biomarker strategies across functional groups to support the overall R&D portfolio.
  • Engage matrix leadership to define, revise, and progress translational biomarker plans.
  • Analyze progress, apply critical thinking, and solve problems to deliver key data and interpretations for decision making.
  • Deliver high‑quality biomarker strategies for mechanism of action, resistance, target engagement, pharmacodynamics, and patient selection.
  • Ensure biomarker plans meet established project standards.
  • Align biomarker strategies with clinical operational plans and functional capabilities to produce robust translational data packages.
  • Build productive relationships with team members involved in translational biomarker activities.
  • Interface with functional areas to identify resources needed for biomarker goals.
  • Communicate key biomarker program information, risks, and milestones, managing information flow across team members.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Ph.D. in Oncology, Hematology, or related field with 12+ years of industry experience, including significant time in translational research.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts, and methodologies in drug discovery or clinical development.
  • Deep understanding of translational research, biomarker science, and drug development processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of oncology and/or tumor‑immunology disease biology.
  • Strong grasp of small‑molecule and biologic modalities.
  • In‑depth knowledge of solid tumor oncology and the evolving clinical landscape.
  • Proven impact using clinical, translational, and mechanistic data.
  • Experience implementing biomarker strategy in early or late‑stage development with measurable results.
  • Clinical protocol authoring and regulatory document review experience.
  • Working knowledge of biomarker technologies – genomics, gene expression, immune profiling, flow cytometry, etc.
  • Excellent data analysis and problem‑solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including manuscript writing, presentations, and regulatory submissions.
  • Track record of publishing scientific articles as a major contributor.
  • Leadership experience managing globally distributed teams and external collaborations.
  • Experience interacting with health authorities.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across the organization.
Compensation Overview

Compensation ranges for this role (full‑time) include:

  • US – $272,720 – $330,476
  • Additional incentive cash and stock may be available.
