Position: Associate Director, Professional Societies (Global Medical Oncology)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support long‑range, portfolio‑shaping oncology collaborations aligned with BMS strategy.
  • Manage Oncology & Hematology Professional Societies relationships; optimize engagement with senior society leaders.
  • Represent BMS at external society meetings (round tables, forums, science/clinical interactions), deliver presentations, and prepare internal reports.
  • Partner with Global Medical Oncology Disease Area Medical teams and internal stakeholders to align society engagement strategy, execution, and collaboration opportunities.
  • Engage BMS leaders across functions (Development, Translational Medicine, Medical, Commercial, Access and Policy) for society executive discussions.
  • Plan, execute, and communicate society strategic plans; drive operational excellence and improve efficiency/consistency/impact.
  • Educate internal stakeholders; maintain communication with societies and interactions at key congresses.
  • Manage approvals for memberships, sponsor ships, and collaborative projects; manage budgets with GMO teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and legal/regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, etc.) in a scientific discipline (or equivalent education/experience).
  • 5+ years in pharma and/or oncology/hematology stakeholder and Professional Societies engagement/partnerships.
  • Credibility with external senior executives and oncology thought leaders; translate insights into strategy.
  • Advanced understanding of drug development and healthcare ecosystem.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration; strong communication and negotiation.
  • HQ-based; travel domestically/internationally ~10%.
